Classical statues were not painted horribly
Did the Greeks and Romans have different tastes, paint badly, or have the reconstructors of classical statues been trolling us?
Note from the wildernet: What did ancient art look like when it was first made? I'm not convinced that the extant samples shown in the article really tell us this because there has been so much wear on them. But interesting, nonetheless.
