Romantasy Scrolls began at home with a simple dilemma. My wife is an incredible book lover who devours dozens of fantasy romance novels every year. Her nightstand is stacked with tales of winged warriors, lethal magic trials, and slow-burn enemies who want to murder each other before they fall in love.
Whenever I wanted to surprise her with a new book or special edition, I hit a brick wall. Typical bestseller lists and bookstore displays were full of the same five mainstream books she had already read years ago. Worse, online book rankings were packed with paid influencer hype. Too many books promised epic magic and scorching romance, only to deliver juvenile dialogue, boring plots, and cheap drama.
I built Romantasy Scrolls as a gift for her. I wanted to give her a private radar that tracked what real fantasy romance fans were genuinely reading, loving, and warning each other about. I launched the site on October 2, 2026, building upon reader discussions I began collecting in September. Today, I share this library with every reader looking for their next five-star obsession.
Whether people use this site or not, I hope my wife finds some great reads here — the spicy parts really turn her on, and I like to be around when that happens.
