I can't believe someone would post fake stories on Reddit!
I used to read AmITheAsshole and the other relationship subreddits religiously. Every morning on the bus I would doomscroll through all of the ridiculous and crazy relationship scenarios, occasionally getting pissed about how outrageous the OP was.
It took me an embarrassingly long time before I realized that most of what I was reading was just trolls like this one. I think I read a few too many posts where it was just too carefully calibrated to get maximum outrage from self-righteous Redditors. AmITheAsshole kind of lost its magic after that.
I don't understand why Cartoons Hate Her was banned from Reddit. It seems like she was one of the top content creators there lol.
My favorite troll article is the Moldovan Mail Order Bride Peloton Scam.
Anyway, sadly I never read any of these posts in the wild. I would love to hear from anyone who did. If you saw one of these posts, did you respond? Did you realize it was fake?
