so this is a pretty horrific story.
What makes men leave their wives right after a baby? Seems like the relationship is something you should figure out before you get someone pregnant.
Another complicating factor is that the author mentions that they were in a poly relationship. Wondering how this plays a role. Most of the poly people I have known are also childfree, or became poly after their children were more grown.

I've met several. The more stories I hear, the more skeptical I become of arrangements like this, even though my own ancestry includes some polygamous relationships, that were --by most accounts --successful.
