Motherhood is not the end of an intellectual life
Just last week, another mother said to me “oh I don’t know how you do it - I’d lose my mind being with my children all the time, I need to stimulate my brain.” What she was really saying was that mothers who stay at home with their children - particularly those who choose to home educate - must have completely sacrificed having any form of intellectual life.
